Latest News Dilip Kumar’s Peshawar home to be preserved as a national heritage

The Cultural Heritage Council of Pakistan has declared that the Saudagar actor’s ancestral home in Peshawar will be maintained as a national heritage
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s 90th birthday was celebrated with much fanfare in Mumbai and also at his birthplace in Peshawar. To honour the superstar of Indian cinema, the Cultural Heritage Council of Pakistan for the first time ever, invited prominent personalities including film celebrities, journalists, lawyers, and his fans, and declared that Dilip saab’s Peshawar home will be preserved as a national heritage.

The veteran actor and his wife Saira Banu thanked CHC for celebrating Dilip saab‘s birthday with zest and vigour. The CHC office-bearers said that the function was aimed at cementing the ties between the two neighbouring countries and strengthening the feelings of brotherhood.

The Bollywood thespian didn’t celebrate his birthday this year, owing to the death of some of his close friends like Bal Thackeray, Yash Chopra, Rajesh Khanna and Dara Singh. Last year, on his 89th birthday, Dilip Kumar had a mega bash at his Pali Hill residence that was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.

Long live Dilip saab!
